Is this official Google guidance or legal advice?
No. This site rearranges public Google Ads API policy documentation into an interactive deadline checklist. It is not affiliated with Google, does not replace the Ads API docs or UI, and is not legal advice about what counts as political advertising. Follow live docs and your counsel when they disagree with anything here.
Will reporting break on April 1 if undeclared campaigns remain?
Per Google’s account-level enforcement description, campaign-management mutates fail while other calls such as reporting, account management, or Keyword Planner-style operations continue. Plan runbooks so mutate outages are not mistaken for a full API outage.
What is the declare-only safe path?
Docs state you can declare existing undeclared campaigns by setting contains_eu_political_advertising via MutateCampaigns, GoogleAdsService.Mutate, or BatchJobService, and those updates do not fail with EU_POLITICAL_ADVERTISING_DECLARATION_REQUIRED when you only update that declaration field. Do not treat arbitrary multi-field campaign mutates as the same exemption.
Does declaring “contains” stop EU serving?
Yes — campaigns declared as containing EU political advertising stop serving ads in the EU. That is a serving consequence separate from the mutate lock. Coordinate with policy owners before bulk-setting CONTAINS.
Does this tool call the Google Ads API for me?
No. We deliberately do not proxy API credentials or run queries. You copy GAQL and execute it in your own client, Scripts, or UI workflows. That keeps secrets off this static host.
